Why the score can change
What moves the underlying data, and how often it is reflected.
The score is recalculated from the public register, so it moves when the underlying facts about a company change, not on a fixed schedule.
What tends to move it
- Filing a confirmation statement or annual accounts on time, or late
- Changes to the level of detail disclosed in filed accounts
- New or satisfied charges registered against the company
- Directors joining, resigning, or a period of instability on the board
- The company's age and current registered status
- The general risk profile of its sector
- Any insolvency-related filings
See Score factors for the full breakdown and how each is weighted.
When you will hear about it
Small movements in the underlying number happen often and are not, on their own, worth an email. If you are monitoring a company, we only alert you when the change is significant enough to move it into a different risk grade, so alerts stay meaningful rather than constant.
