France
What we ask for in France, and why.
We are not taking requests from this country yet. Leave your email on the notice you see on the site and we tell you when it opens.
What we ask
We ask for your company name and find your business in the register. If you know your siren (for example 306138900) you can enter it instead. Requests are made in EUR. Phone numbers are taken in the international format, for example +33 6 12 34 56 78.
What the register gives us
Your company details are checked against Sirene (INSEE) with the national register (INPI). What comes back:
| Detail | From the register |
|---|---|
| Identity | yes |
| Legal form | yes, INSEE legal category, labelled |
| Status | yes, Active or ceased, with the cessation date |
| Incorporation date | yes |
| Address | yes, Head office, from the establishment record |
| Activity codes | yes, NAF rev. 2 code of the legal unit |
| Officers | yes, Directors and corporate officers from the national register, with their role |
| Owners | soon, Beneficial owners are in the INPI record behind the free account |
| Accounts | partly, Turnover and net result for the latest filed years from INPI open data; the filed statements themselves need the INPI account |
| Insolvency | not published by the register, Collective proceedings are published in BODACC, not read yet |
| Filings | not published by the register |
Cross checks: VIES: the VAT number is derived from the SIREN; GLEIF where the company has an LEI.
Bank statements
Funding partners in France need 6 months of business bank statements to make a firm offer. Upload them from your account as soon as your request is in; the sooner they are in, the sooner the indicative offers become firm ones.
