The reply-with-a-status workflow
Reporting where a deal stands by email, the Hub, or the API.
The fastest way to keep a deal moving is to report your status on it. Every deal in your lane needs one of four next-step statuses so the client, and our matching, know where things stand.
The statuses
- In review: you have it and are assessing it.
- Offer made: you have put figures in front of the client, see The Lender Hub for submitting the offer itself.
- Declined: not one for you. A reason, even a short one, is worth including, it feeds the matching that keeps deals outside your criteria from reaching you again.
- Funded: the deal completed. Include the funded amount if it differs from what was offered, it is used for commission reconciliation.
Three ways to report it
Reply to the referral email with a single word (for example, just "declined"), update the status from the Lender Hub, or call the status endpoint from your own systems. All three write to exactly the same record, so pick whichever your team already has open, there is no need to repeat yourself across channels.
Why it matters
Lanes that respond quickly and report accurately receive materially more flow. A quiet lane, or one that never reports back, naturally sees less over time.
