Requesting documents from a client

Asking for a specific item, and tracking it through to your hands.

Rather than a free-text message asking for "your latest accounts", you can request a specific typed item, a debt schedule, management accounts, an aged debtors report, filed statutory accounts, proof of identity, or bank statements, and it appears as a clear checklist item on the client's account instead of a vague ask.

How to request one

From the deal in the Lender Hub, choose Request a document and pick the item type, or call the requests endpoint if your team works through the API. Either way, the client is notified by email with a direct link to upload against that item.

Tracking it

Each request moves through a simple status: Requested, then Uploaded once the client attaches a file, then Forwarded once it reaches you (by email with a signed link, and visible in the Hub and API). You can mark an item Waived if you no longer need it.

Limits

A deal can carry up to 20 open requests at once, waive or wait for outstanding ones before adding more.
