Canada
What we ask for in Canada, and why.
Requests from this country are accepted today.
What we ask
We ask for your company name and find your business in the register. If you know your corporation number (for example 3924181) you can enter it instead. Requests are made in CAD. Phone numbers are taken in the international format, for example +1 416 555 0148.
What the register gives us
Your company details are checked against Corporations Canada. What comes back:
| Detail | From the register |
|---|---|
| Identity | yes |
| Legal form | yes, The governing act |
| Status | yes |
| Incorporation date | yes |
| Address | yes, Registered office |
| Activity codes | not published by the register |
| Officers | partly, Directors where the federal record lists them |
| Owners | not published by the register |
| Accounts | not published by the register |
| Insolvency | not published by the register |
| Filings | partly, Annual filing status and whether it is overdue |
Bank statements
Funding partners in Canada need 6 months of business bank statements to make a firm offer. Upload them from your account as soon as your request is in; the sooner they are in, the sooner the indicative offers become firm ones.
